Studio Rules
and Regulations
1. Class
tuition must be paid according to the Option Payment chosen. No refunds if student chooses to discontinue participating in
a class. Late fees will be added if payment is not paid on time. Returned checks are subject to a $15 fee plus bank charges.
If a student is going to be absent they are still responsible to pay for the class. Please contact the studio to notify the
teacher in the event of an absentee.
2.
If the studio needs to close due to weather conditions or other special circumstances, it
will be posted on this website at Studio Closings and weather cancellations will be posted on Channel 5 news. We also will send you an email in regards to any cancellations.
Do not follow school cancellations. If in question please call the studio. A credit will go to your account if we need to
cancel a class. 3. The studio and the teachers are not liable for personal injuries or loss or damage to personal property.
Since this is a physical activity, injuries may occur. Any student may decline to participate in any activity, which may be
harmful. Parents/Guardian and student are responsible to inform the instructor of any physical limitation, which
may prevent full participation in class.
4. A parent or guardian
must accompany all small children when waiting for class. Once class has started no student is allowed to leave the studio
premises at any time without being accompanied by the parent or guardian unless the teacher is notified. If the parent is
going to be late picking up their child, then please notify the teacher and let your child know so they won’t worry.
Be sure your child knows to never leave the studio! They must always stay inside and wait.
5. We welcome
family and friends to come and watch classes at any time. Please remember that at no time should a child be left at the studio
alone, (to watch a relative or friend), with out a teacher being notified. Also please note if having a family member or friend
seems to be disruptive to the class they may be asked to leave.
6. Throughout
the year, students will be preparing to perform on stage for a recital. This year’s recital theme is "JUST DANCE",
the date is Sunday June 10th. Dress rehearsal is Saturday June 9th. Please note Triton's graduation is also June
9th. Any problem please tell your teacher ASAP. Sorry for any inconvenience. Show costumes will be purchased in late
Nov. early Dec. The last 2 weeks of
classes before the show everybody’s class schedule changes. Times will be posted early to the website. Be sure you prepare
your schedule for these 2 weeks. All must attend!!!!.There is a $10.00 rehearsal fee per student owed & collected in May. Show tickets will go on sale in
May. If a student is not planning to participate in our show, please notify the teacher as soon as possible.
7. Please take notice that parking space is always an issue here at Kathy’s Tumbleweed. I am sorry for any inconvenience.
Please beware NOT TO PARK in the drive thru area
of the parking lot. This area must be kept open at all times. Always be aware of children, move
slowly and be on the lookout. Be aware we have neighbors
sharing the same parking lot. Please be considerate and do not park in their designated area.
8. Attendance
Awards are presented on stage at the end of the year to recital classes only. Students who wish to be considered
to receive an attendance award must sign up on registration form by checking off the apropiate box.
Attendance Awards Rules: Class
attendance counts starting on the offical opening day of the class the student is registered in. Our studio opening day
is September 19th. Attendance
awards will be true to the student’s attendance but each student will be allowed one absentee per class as a rider in
case of an emergency absentee. Use it wisely. No make up classes are offered. There are no exceptions to the rules except
mandatory school events students must participate in. If you are absent, no matter the reason, it is counted as missing a
class. Full class particapation is mandatory in order to count as being present
at class. Sitting out and watching class is not acepted. Student must particapate the entire scheduled class time. Early dismissal
may count as an absentee.
Awards to be presented:

You will receive a trophy.
The more classes you achieve at this level of attendance
the larger the trophy

Miss 1 class and you will receive a gold medal
Honors
Miss 2 classes and you will receive a silver medal
Honorable Mention
Miss 3 classes
and you will receieve a bronze medal
All
recital students receive diplomas acknowledging a full year of participation.
